Bishonen 1998, HongKong - This film is a feast! Daniel Wu and Stephen Fung ba naman, makita mong nagbu-brokebakan sa screen! The movie was graced with beautiful faces , idagdag mo pa si Shu Qi! Sobrang light ng approach… napaka mysterious ng mga characters…. mapapahukay ka just to get the point! The film circles around the complicated emotions between a popular gigolo, a handsome young policeman, and their strangled relationships with people who made significant impacts on their lives! Pero medyo malungkot nga lang sa huli!
Lan Yu, 2001, Hong Kong/China - A Period Drama, Beijing,1988 ang setting! A film that would leave you thinking who really deserves to be loved, who we need to love, and do we need to be loved back everytime we love at kung bakit nagagawang magparaya in the name of love… haay… The story is quite tragic, medyo masakit sa dibdib….

The King and The Clown
I was left asking myself if I have really felt love and if I have really given love right after watching the film.
The King and the Clown was tagged as korea's top grossing film of all time, surpassing the record of the critically acclaimed "Taegukgi".
Well for me, the film itself is a visual masterpiece, boasting lavish production design and colorful costumes. Though it has gay content, it was never tagged as a gay movie, dahil hindi naman talaga!
Mala Brokeback sa bundok ng Korea ang dating ng film… pero jesters ang bida instead of cowboys! heheh!! The film is about the friendship of two jesters, who found themselves in a complicated series of events. Pero ang hindi ko lng mapagtanto (heavy!)… eh kung love o friendship ba ang namamagitan sa dalawa… Siguro yun yung feeling kung hindi mo alam kung love ba ang binibigay ng isang tao sa iyo lalo na kung hindi mo rin kayang ibalik ang love na yun. The film is about sacrifice… pero hindi mo alam kung saang level ng human emotion mahuhugot ang rason for such act, kung love ba o simpleng affection lang for a friend.
Gong-gil is an effeminate na niligtas ng co-jester niya na si Jang-seng. Together, they went to Seoul to run away from the crime committed… Then, nagpatayo sila ng acting troupe at sinimulang i-mock ang King to entertain people and earn money. Pinahuli sila bigla dahil sa pambabastos at isinugal ang mga buhay sa kondisyong mapatawa ang hari. Their lives were spared ng dahil kay Gon-gil, dahil sa attraction sa kanya ng king, and then they found themselves as the king's official jesters. Later on, ibinubuking na ng grupo ang mga katiwalian sa palasyo through their plays and people ar being killed for every production. Dahil sa selos ng mistress ng hari, they fell into a patibong that would later cost them their lives.
Jang Seng throughout the film always showed care and affection for Gong-gil… Ilang beses ng nabugbog si loko para sa welfare ni Gong-gil pero wa ker ang menchu!… it even came to a point na sinunog ang mga mata nya for an alleged crime na dapat eh kay Gong-gil ipapataw pero go pa rin ang lolo! They led the viewers to think that both have feelings for each other though it was never confirmed… kaya ako confused kung love ba talaga ang nararamdaman ko o hindi!
The film proved itself worthy for all the praises… 5 popcorns out of 5!
