Creepy!
I just finished Across the Universe when I stumbled upon this movie. It was BEATLES week on American Idol and I have just downloaded some songs from the soundtrack of Across the Universe and I decided to make the most out of the hype and grabbed a copy and endured almost 2 hours exploring the mind of a psycho.
The title was really intriguing. When I found out that Lindsay Lohan is in this movie, it was a great help that the title was really intriguing (hehehe). Jared Leto is also one good reason to watch this film. I’ve read that he didnt wear any fat suit at all and bloated himself to play the character.
To start with, Chapter 27 is actually an indie film, that explores the deepest thoughts and details the inner psyche of John Lennon’s killer, Mark David Chapman.
I know that John Lennon was shot, but I have no idea at all who killed him and for what reason. I just have this vivid memory, sa Magandang Gabi yata na-feature, where they claim that the Killer heard a satanic message right after he back-masked a Beatles’ cassette tape. I dont expect you to remember that, the show was axed almost a decade ago heheheheh…..
What freaks me out is how the title relates to the incident. The movie didnt put too much emphasis on the murder itself. As what I have said, it tried to account the things that were running through Chapman’s head within those 3 days before the Assassination.
When chapman was caught, a copy of J.D. Salinger’s classic novel The Catcher in the Rye was found. The novel ends in Chapter 26. Chapman was trying to model his life after Holden Caulfield, the main character of the book . Chapter 27 suggests Chapman’s attempt to continue the novel. Hairs ! Hairs! Hairs!

Rosen’s book explores the numerological meaning of 27, “the triple 9,” a number of profound importance to John Lennon. Lennon was obsessed with numerology, particularly Cheiro’s Book of Numbers, and 9 and all its multiples. Lennon was born October 9, 1940. His son Sean Lennon was born October 9, 1975. His wife Yoko Ono was born February 18, 1933. His songwriting partner with the Beatles, Paul McCartney, was born June 18, 1942. Lennon wrote such songs as Revolution 9, Number 9 Dream, and One After 909. Lennon received his green card, after a long legal battle, on July 27, 1976. Though Lennon was murdered in New York around 11 p.m. on December 8, 1980, it was already December 9 in England, the country of his birth. It was Chapman’s goal, according to Rosen, to write Chapter 27 "in Lennon’s blood."
There’s another movie from last year called "The Killing of John Lennon". I have no idea who these actors are… I wasnt able to get a copy. See poster below.

O yes folks. It all started as a dream. Di ko alam kung anung tinira nitong kaibigan ko at nanaginip ng isang buong script para sa isang pelikula. I love the idea, kaya nainspire akong gawan ng poster. Pandikit lng sa visualization board niya hehehhe ….
SYNOPSIS
All Champ needed was a cab home. He had no idea of things to happen the moment he stepped foot in Sid’s taxi. Champ woke up in the middle of nowhere with the cab driver (SID) and 2 other strangers ( Heart and Jay). Champ has no connection at all with these 3 people who had issues of their own. What supposed to be a ride home became Champ’s ride of his life as he struggled to solve the mystery and define his purpose.
Yun lng naintindihan ko sa kwento ni Fred eh! Labo nga din. Lasing na rin kasi ako nun nung kinukwento nya. hehehe … Pero nice di bah. Tapos, etong Champ, throughout the movie ay unti-unting nai-in-love kay Sid. Heart is supposed to be the balahura rich brat na girlfriend ni Sid, na tinakas nya with the help of his sidekick na si Jay. Si Champ, all those times, eh sabit lng. Malas nya lng at nasa taxi sya by that time. The whole joyride would then be each individual’s journey to discovery which would eventually lead to a climatic ending.. echos!!. heheheh …. Kailangan pang tirahin ni Fred yung kung anumang tinira niya para mapanaginipan ang sequel…
