Falls Alarm!!!
Tuesday, August 18, 2009This post is Part 2 of the Falls post which is Part 2 of the Day 2 post. Gulo ba?? Anyway … mejo may pagka-exhibitionist tong Guide namin… Abah! Tumatalon-talon ng boulders!! Sabi ko nga sa kanya … “Kuya… wag mo kong pakikitaan ng stunts… takot ako na baka gayahin kita!!!” … at di nga ako nagkamali… Aside from jumping in the water just like what he did… I also went up the boulder and jumped… I have never done that before… my heart stopped for approximately 3 seconds while I was on the air…. buti n lng napigilan ko ihi ko…. Di pa ako nakuntento… tumalon pa ako ulet! sarap!!!
Then… umakyat pa siya sa falls na mismo … and then jumped at approximately God-knows-how-high-that-was… buti na lng nasa katinuan ang isip ko kahit walang parental guidance… di ko na sya ginaya…
We played sa water hanggang sa nag-amplaya ang skin namin… We left the area few minutes after 4pm. We cleaned up the mess of other people before leaving. Walang entrance papasok kaya cleaning the area is the only way to pay for all the fun we had… echos!! Greenthumbs?? heheheh
At eto na ang pinakamahirap na part… we have to hike!!!! Syaks! Ang tarik paakyat!!! Seryoso?? Oh no!!! Di na ako nakapag-joke along the way… Madz and Mia on the other hand were able to climb effortlessly .. thank you to their daily jog sa Sports Complex… Ma-try nga din yan sa Circle…Happy!!!
We reached the wharf before 5pm. Enough time to reach the city before 6. Then we’ve decided to meet 8pm ..inuman daw…syet! kailangan ko ng Red Bull, Alaxan, Lipovitan at kung anu mang legal na energy booster!!!
to the falls with no name…
We found Nong RIchard joining the videoke challenge in a nearby sari-sari store! Super Bibo ampotah! It was 230pm I guess … and the sun was still at its glee. Larga!!! We just need to follow the main road back to the wharf and si Richard na bahala kung saan liliko. We stopped on some breathtaking spots and as usual … c’mon … strike a pose babeh!!
Then came the much awaited turn… and then the track started to get thinner and thinner until we noticed that there’s no track at all. We were very much concerned with Morris (sitting on the backride), given the branches and sharp grasses that hit the trike as we passed along. It was bumpy but quick. Naalog ang utak ko literally!!! Then nag-park (sosyal) kami sa nearby talahib and started the treck down. Almost 75 degrees ang angle na tinahak namin pababa mga friendships. We didnt feel any pagod… kasi nga excited dibah!!??
It was a 15-20 mins treck. We were still cracking jokes even though we’re running out of breath. and of course… took pictures… not of trees, skies, shrubs, nature or what not… but of ouselves syempre!!! O ayan… nagpipiktyuran ang mga nagpipiktyur!!!
Nangihi pa si Madz sa kabatuhan peps! Wahahahahaha!!!! Pero with glamour!!!
Then we’ve reached “the falls with no name”. We were amazed with its beauty and was awfully shocked when we were told that the water is 15 feet deep. Taena!! Di ako marunong lumangoy friends!!! Eh alangan namang tumunganga tayo dito di ba!!!?
Nong Richard jumped in. I was quite hesitant …takot talaga ako sa tubig if it is higher than my chin. Pero dahil sa isa akong batikan na inggitero … naghubad na kez at splash!!!! Whaaaaaaaaa … Kuya sunduin mo ko!!!! Di ako marunong lumangooooy!!!!! Parang ganun na nga .. hanggang nasa falls na kaming lahat and we found ourselves swimming back and forth … luv it!!!

Sarap ng water!!! Ang lamig at ang tamis. It was so relaxing. Sarap magpamasahe sa falls!!! Sarap ng mala-fear factor na factor!! Nyahahaha … Di naman masyadong prepared si Richard… may goggles na … may flipper pa … o dabah!!!
DAY 2 - Life’s a Beach!!
Dont be amazed with all the many ways that we contort our faces just to strike a pose!! Lagi kaming may baon nyan!!
We literally just took a dip (or dips) … We cant wait to go to the falls… We checked out after a couple of hours… or make that after a couple of hundred pictures… The Lomo Cam was really handy… I only have 4 shots left.. and I left my last roll on my other bag… it served a different purpose the whole trip…
Day 2 - oooooh guimaras!!
We’re supposed to meet 9am sa Atrium… of course … it is given that you should go to the meeting place an hour late … We went there 10am … We left after another hour… I was out of air when I saw Morris!! He’s like a greek god in red walking in McDonald’s gates! Echos!! Made me regret of not brushing my teeth before going there (si kharee amo man nyahahaha!!! Chareng!!
We bought a few snacks and went to the “PANTALAN” .. ghad.. I sooo miss saying that word… again.. “PANTALAN” … It’s just the five of us, which is really perfect for me! It was drizzling and we were threatened by the dark skies when we reached Jordan. Having fun might be hopeless, but we were definitely proven wrong. Thanks to the superhero of the day… he’s not wearing any cape .. he wears a red cap and flies with his green tricycle … and wants to be called NONG RICHARD!!! Pumasok sya sa eksena habang nagpapatuyo kami sa waiting shed!!! We were quite hesitant accepting his offer. The resort is quite far and we might get wet if we took the trike. But I guess it was all meant to be… it was rather cheap… 50 php each going there and another 50 php for the ride back. Well OK.
He had some really tempting stories about undiscovered wonders in Guimaras.. tempting enough for us to decide na patulan yung hike sa nearby falls … you’ll get more of that on the next posts…. Anyway … Mr. Sunshine welcomed us with glee on the other side of the Island… My feet were surely happy while they wandered around Guam’s tangerine sand.
Kami lng ni Kharee ang naligo… 3 obvious reasons to explain why…
1. Ang layo ng beaches dito sa Manila!!! Daw mga buki kami!!!
2. Masyadong maputi si Mia and Morris.. takot umitim
3. Masyadong mullata si Madz… takot na lalo pang umitim!!! heheheeh
DAY 1 - Let’s get it on!! (12-12-08)
The feeling was euphoric! It was five long years since I stepped foot in Iloilo!!! Echos!! Let’s quit the drama and start the pic marathon!!!
Wala!!! As in wala!!! Walang nagtitext!!! We just finished a really good meal in Kharee’s house (our batch’s home if you dont wanna go home) and we’re quite perplexed na wala pang nagpaparamdam…. 11 pm.. Mia called .. quite assuring that they’ve been waiting for us in MO2 for a couple of hours already. What the??? Sure??? Well I guess so… lots of people said that we were not responding to all their texts as well… weird!! Madz was there. Na-meet ko na rin ang jowa niya na si Hal… Mia, 2ni minus her jusawamez!! Weeeeeeeee!!!! Really fun night!!! So excited to see each other after a few years. 2ni then convinced me to treat them a round of drinks and a basket of chicken (I have no idea what witchcraft she uses to force me to follow with all known weakness) … Then dumating ang chicken… not in a basket.. kundi sa isang palanggana!!!! Whoa!!!! And look!!! That’s us.. with the girls imitating my “how to hide your gilagid” pose. Purrrfect!!! Had to end the night early…(early means a couple of hours before Unang Hirit!) .. we have to prepare for whatever’s in store for the next day!!
