VANITY

Vanity Fair’s issue for March 2008 features this ensemble of women that glittered in 2007. Of course, Annie Leibovitz ruled the lens for this addition to her annual spread for Vanity Fair. Check my previous post for a collection of her works for the magazine.
I am so happy to see the alluring Emily Blunt on the cover. I soooo love her.Cant wait to see her in "The Young Victoria", she’ll play no less than the title role , paired with Rupert Friend who would play Prince Albert of course. The movie is in post production and we would surely hear more about it soon.
I am also amazed with how Amy Adams was rocketed to the cover page by the movie Enchanted. I dont know what she should be more thankful of; being paired with McDreamy or accepting a role that unexpectedly sparked her career.
Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel are also on the cover. They’re old news, nothing to say about them.
America Ferrera was snobbed and was thrown at the far end. Ellen Page, Alice Braga, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Banks and Ginnifer Goodwin would complete this beautiful tableu of peach and off-white.
I have seen Ellen Page in Juno and Xmen of course. I dont know if you feel the same thing, but the Oscar nominee seems to be so awkward with what she’s wearin.
Heath.. Heath.. Heath
Half a month has passed and my heart still bleeds for Heath’s passing. chos! heheheheh… as usual late n nman ako… hinde man lng ako umabot ng Pasiyam!
Who would have known? It was last May when I blogged about his confirmation to play JOKER for the latest installment of the Batman franchise. It didnt flicker at all… it didnt show any sign that it would start a big fire!
It was so abrupt kasi ! Heath is truly a great actor, incomparable and full of promise. He is at the prime of his career and is certainly a big loss for the movie industry. Heath dreams to be a director and it was awful to know that he was just few days far in fulfilling that when he passed away. Haaaaaaay… nakakalungkot lng…
Anyway, Heath was able to finish Batman and I’m not there. I mean, of course I’m not there when he finished Batman, but I am talking about this movie "I’m Not There"! Anyway, I am uber excited for this film. This Cate Blanchett in a butch/ Bob Dylan biopic shows ruminations on the life of Bob Dylan, where 6 characters embody a different aspect of the musician’s life and work. .
The movie would also feature Christian Bale, Michelle Williams and Richard Gere. This would be one last chance to see Heath’s talent and immeasurable love for his craft. I know that Batman is still in post-production… pero I am more excited in seeing him here…
I am quite sure that Warner’s marketing campaign for Batman would be gravely affected. Warner cancelled the showing of some teasers and the launch of some websites to promote the film. Heath’s death plucked different reactions among fans kasi. They are considering that the incident might attract more viewers since this is the actor’s last film but might also trigger some fans to boycott the movie thinking that the role led to the actor’s death…
Heath left the whole world mourning (well maybe except those people in India, Nepal, Somalia, Bangladesh and maybe parts of Payatas) … but seriously…. Heath would always be remembered ….. syet! I wish I know how to quit you Heath!!!!
