Meryll Streep won best actress for drama-comedy or musical for her performance in Devil Wears Prada! I think she had the longest speech that night and it was hilarious! Everyone laughed everytime she cracks her witty punchlines! I have all my faith that she would win (it's also OK with me if Toni Collette won). Her performance in that movie is the exact opposite of her! Everybody knows how bad Streep's fashion statement goes (she even admitted that herself wearing those wardrobes are the film's special effects), but she was able to portray the character very well in an effortless, authoritative, iconic and disturbing manner! heheh!
Dream Girls was also a big winner for that night! Jennifer Hudson grabbed the Best Supporting Actress Trophy and the movie was chosen as BEST MOTION PICTURE COMEDY OR MUSICAL! One thing that I am not happy about is Eddie Murphy winning Best Supporting Actor! Well maybe it's about time after losing 3x!
Seattle Grace Hospital is truly proud with their interns, they were able to get the Golden Globe without any complications or side stitches! Liz didnt get the supporting actress award but that was fine! McShepherd wasnt able to impress the jurors with his dreamy eyes, even Jack Bauer from 24 wasnt able to snag the best actor award for TV! Hugh Laurie from HOUSE took it and he would not, in any way, bring it back!
Too bad Brad Pitt didnt get any acting awards but I am truly happy that his film, Babel snagged the trophy for Best Picture !
Forest Whitaker won best actor for the film "The King for Scotland"! I saw a clip from the movie and I was awed by how he portrayed it! He was filthy, sweaty and crazy! His performance was indeed overwhelming. Too bad fro leonardo Di Caprio! He had two best actor nominations for "The Departed" and "Blood Diamond", and still didnt make it! He deserves tobe nominated though! I watched both films and his performance in both was really good! Leo, in terms of acting, showed a lot of improvement! My personal favorite is his performance in Blood Diamond!
I was also not happy for Jack Nicholson! He was such a devil in "The Departed" and I really dont know why he didnt win!
