United 93
I was asleep last Sept. 11 and was not even aware that it was Sept 11, so I wasnt able to commemorate that disastrous day that shocked the globe.
Ive decided to watch this film three days ago and as usual, I love it, due to the main reason that it made me cry!
Terrorists hi-jacked 4 planes, 3 of which was able to hit their targets, the 4th one which is Flight United 93, failed due to the heroism of its passengers. Of course, no one survived the crash to narrate the whole event. The film was realized through the last phonecalls made by the passengers and the recording from the black box retrieved. I was moved with almost every scenes when each of the passengers gave their good-byes to their loved ones. One of the most heartbreaking moments in cinema!! Tumayo lahat ng balahibo ko! Especially the scene when one of the passenger prayed with a supervisor from Verizon! Sobrang touching.

Dissecting Grey’s Anatomy

It's official! Grey's Anatomy tops the list of my favorite tv series followed by Desperate Housewives and Gilmore Girls!! Well, a lot of people say that the show was just a rip-off of ER and Scrubs… nah!! I dont care!! Since George Clooney left ER, the show wasnt able to get out of the Emergency Room alive!!
First Year interns trying to live life normally as they save lives and have sex in the storage rooms! The show always have this weird and almost impossible jaw-dropping medical cases that it received criticisms that some of it would never occur in normal life, and for the 2nd time, I dont care!! Fishes dont talk and we have Nemo, Turtles can't sing the ABC's but we have Pong Pagong and Koreans cant speak English but we can watch them speaking in Filipino! Dude, that's TV! And besides, why should I care, the only thing I know about medicine is…. fine… nothing significant!!
I love the cast! Sandra Oh is perfect. Ellen Pompeo plays the lead and does most of the work and covers 75% screentime, but have I mentioned that Sandra Oh is brilliant! Patrick Dempsey as the adorable Dr. Shepherd deserves to be the ultimate Mr. McDreamy, you cant help but to be bedazzled by those eyes! I also love George!! Para siyang si Romeo!! Yung tipong girl's-best-friend-that-you-would-never-screw na super-clumsy-syet!-ambait-bakla-ba-to? siya na klase ng lalake!
The show was cited several times for having the best cast. They never hired big actors. They just never considered race but just went on their way and hird the best. Blacks, Asians, Whites, Hispanic, the show have them all as regulars… and that is real world!

By the way, this would be my favorite episode(s), "It's the End of the World, As We Know It", with special guest star, Christina Ricci. Imagine yourself holding a bomb within a dying body, you are inside an operating room where the main oxygen line runs, a little movement would cause the ammunition to explode leaving you into a million pieces and would blow up the entire hospital! Whoa!
I am almost done with the 2nd season and I cant wait to have a copy of the 3rd!

Twilight Dancers

Twilight Zone!!!

While strolling around Avenida, napahinto talaga ako to check kung ano itong mga small bond paper sized ads na nakadikit sa mga poste!! Naalala niyo yung mga posters ng Mourning Girls? Parang ganun ang quality pero smaller!! Ad pala for Twilight Dancers!!
It was recently tagged by CEB na triple X due to… syempre… nudity!! I know, nag-compromise na naman ang creator ng film. The movie would now be shown in theaters pero of course with cuts!! So, ang tanong, meron pa kayang natira?
I've read a review from one of the critics when it was shown in the Toronto Film Festival!! It turned out that the film was not that impressive at all!! Pero check na lang natin to see!
Of course, the story would be about macho dancers… boohoo… as if hindi pa obvious! Mel Chionglo's latest installment, focused on the political krung krung that strangles the characters in the club's dim lights! Compared to the first two which dealt with AIDS, drugs, etc, this one boasts young actors who went daring from wholesome!

see video!!
